September 3: Gelf's Varsity Letters

Gelf's Varsity Letters sports reading series returns with an all-NFL night on Thursday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m, a week before the season kicks off. At this free monthly event in DUMBO, Brooklyn, hosted by Gelf and Jan Larsen Art, Stefan Fatsis, Matt Shepatin, and Michael Tunison will read from and talk about their work, and take questions. Fatsis will return to, and update, his tale of seeking to become a pro placekicker; Shepatin will relate some of the best NFL stories ever told; and Tunison will preach from his manifesto for football fans.
