August 6: Gelf's Varsity Letters

Gelf's Varsity Letters sports reading series returns on Thursday, August 6, at 7:30 p.m. At this free monthly event in DUMBO, Brooklyn, hosted by Gelf and Jan Larsen Art, Wright Thompson, Grant Wahl, and Bruce Weber will read from and talk about their work, and take questions. Thompson will share from his narrative features for ESPN. Wahl breaks down the iffy experiment of David Beckham's move stateside. And Weber shares the true tales of baseball umps.
