Varsity Letters is back at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge on Tuesday, May 23, for a knockout evening of sportswriting featuring WSJ's Sam Walker, Deadspin's Hamilton Nolan, and former boxer Sarah Deming.
Walker, the former sports editor and current deputy enterprise editor at the Wall Street Journal, will be reading from his new book The Captain Class: The Hidden Force That Creates the World's Greatest Teams.
Nolan, who writes about boxing and other subjects for Deadspin, and Deming, a freelance writer and former boxer, are both contributors to the new collection, The Bittersweet Science: Fifteen Writers in the Gym, in the Corner, and at Ringside.
