The Non-Motivational Speaker Series returns on Thursday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m. in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
Bask in the awkward glow of such cinematic impropriety as The Room, Blacula, and pretty much anything involving Nicolas Cage’s accent at this month’s event. Dissecting all things bad (and baaad) in film will be Lindsay Robertson, founding editor of Videogum and venerable Room expert [interview here]; author of Blaxploitation Cinema: The Essential Reference Guide Josiah Howard [interview here]; and Matt Carman and Kseniya Yarosh, creators of biyearly essay collection I Love Bad Movies [interview here]. Come for the clips…stay for the quips!
This is a free event.
