The Non-Motivational Speaker Series returns on Thursday, May 27, at 7:30 p.m. in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Get your fix of The Wire at the Non-Motivational Speaker Series, returning to Brooklyn May 27th. Dropping dimes on the acclaimed HBO drama will be Stony Brook philosophy professor and author of the paper "Bringing Omar Back to Life" Harvey Cormier [interview here]; veteran Baltimore crime reporter and cofounder of muckraking news site Investigative Voice Stephen Janis [interview here]; and a homicide detective who wishes to remain nameless.

This is a free event.
