First the Tattoo. Then the Film.

Jim Dozier loved the idea of Snakes on a Plane so much that he got a huge, multicolored tattoo of the film's logo before he ever saw the film itself. Yesterday, he watched the movie for the first time. Gelf caught up with Doz to ask him if SoaP deserved the hype—and the ink.

Gelf Magazine: We know you enjoyed the movie, but how much did you enjoy it?
Jim Dozier: Great movie! Multiple viewings are definitely in order. It started a little slow but quickly ramped up to what everyone expected it to be. Once the snakes were released, it was a a crazy ride all the way to the end! Everyone was excited and laughing and cheering.

GM: Was there anything in the movie in particular (w/o giving any spoilers) that totally surprised you?
Doz: The total lack of Samuel L Jackson. He wasn't in there at all! The commercials and previews kinda made you think he was gonna be in there.

GM: Can you compare SoaP to any other movie experiences to date?
Doz: It was like all the hype and excitement for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace but with a better movie and no Jar Jar.

GM: Did you show off the tat?
Doz: I wore a sleeveless shirt to show off the pythons and the tat. No one said anything to me about it, though. After almost a year of waiting, I think they were too excited to see the movie to be sidetracked by anything else.

GM: Was there anything in (or about) the movie you didn't necessarily like?
Doz: The only thing that was disappointing was when they showed the title on the screen, it was in generic white-block lettering. You would have thought that they would have used the font they used on the poster. To have seen that splashed on the big screen would have been extremely awesome!

If the satan character(s) weren't in the bible it would only be two pages, stoppin' with "…
god created Eve for Adam and they lived happily ever after. THE END."
