Thursday, April 10 is baseball night at Varsity Letters at The Gallery at LPR. Grantland's Jonah Keri, a two-time Varsity Letters veteran, will read from his new book Up, Up, and Away: The Kid, the Hawk, Rock, Vladi, Pedro, le Grand Orange, Youppi!, the Crazy Business of Baseball, and the Ill-fated but Unforgettable Montreal Expos. He'll be joined by Kostya Kennedy of Sports Illustrated, author of Pete Rose: An American Dilemma; and a former Mr. Met, AJ Mass, author of Yes, It's Hot in Here: Adventures in the Weird, Woolly World of Sports Mascots.
The event will also feature a special guest host, Faith and Fear in Flushing's Jason Fry, who's previously appeared as a speaker or moderator at Gelf's Varsity Letters, Geeking Out, and Media Circus events.
