The Non-Motivational Speaker Series returns to New York on Thursday, September 25, at 8 p.m with a Super-Special Election Special. Curated and hosted by Adam Rosen, this monthly event features an above-average lineup of decidedly non-motivating authorities, each presenting views alternative and overlooked on matters of head-scratching, navel-gazing import.

Too lazy to care about the most important political event of your lifetime? Feel like someone needs to pay attention to stuff like Iraq, the economy, healthcare, then get back to you? Fear not, young patriot. Doing the thinking so you don’t have to will be Ana Marie Cox, founding editor of Wonkette and current Washington editor of Radar [interview here]; Chairman of the NYC Young Republicans Lynn Krogh; card-carrying member and NY Chair of the U.S. Communist Party Libero Della Piana [interview here]; and, representing the disillusioned youth demographic, funnyman Jake Rake [anti-Michel Gondry rant here]. Fuck Yeah!

The event will start at 8 pm at the Happy Ending Lounge, and is free.
