Where Did This Idea Come From?

Duplicate magazine features about the auto industry's globalization.

In the Feb. National Geographic, we learn that the grille of the BMW Mini was made in Germany; the windshield in Belgium, to a company with French headquarters; and so on. The handy infographic comes under the tagline "global economy."

Under the words "Made in the USA" in the Feb. Wired, the Saturn Vue is broken down to reveal that its transmission comes from Hungary and the raw steel originates in China.

The cars' origins differ, but the magazine features (apparently not online) look almost identical. Maybe next time the magazines can look to Peru or Gabon for some new ideas.
